Bright white Premium high power LED lens lamp to upgrade for British Pre-Focus headlamps with a double contact P36D bulb base. Extremely flexible application - suitable for 6, 12 or 24V vehicles and compatible with either negative or positive earth systems (6 to 30V DC input, non-polarised). This version is 4300K modern, bright white colour temperature - a lower colour temperature version is available with a warmer, classic colour of 3000K - see part number P36DLED-H30L.
This bulb is a great LED upgrade alternative to bulb types B312B, B414B, B437, B370, B354, B358, B350, B306 and B359. In testing, this was brighter than 6V incandescent bulb B312B (24/30W) and was comparable with 12V incandescent bulb B354 (36/42W).
These bulbs include a lens that is designed to focus their own beam and produce a super light output with a bright main beam and well-defined level dipped beam, with the dip pattern set by the light unit lens. This lens makes reflector condition less important. Please note though, that due to the integral lens, this bulb cannot be used with tripod-type lamps or those with an internal 'Biflex' style reflector, as they disrupt the carefully designed beam pattern.
These bulbs draw approximately 75% less current than incandescent and halogen bulbs so are great for low-powered vintage electrical systems. Instructions are provided for aligning and adjusting the level of the beam - please take care when doing this to avoid damaging the bulb. With a bulb length of 67mm, these are shorter than most types of incandescent BPF bulbs (at 80mm).
